In overcast, cool breezy conditions, the 14 anglers who attended this weeks match foudn the pellet waggler and straight lead to be the methods to produce the better weights.

Tue 26 July 16 - Boddington Reservoir


On a calm day with only a slight ripple on the surface, the anglers found the pellet waggler was the method to produce the most consitant sport.

Tue 28 June 16 - Boddington Reservoir


With the weather producing heavy drizzle on what can only be described as a far from perfect day. The 17 anglers who fished the match were unable to produce on the pellet waggler meaning all the anglers had to resort to the pellet method or straight lead to find the fish.

Tue 14 June 16 - Boddington Reservoir


With hardly any wind and with an unexpected monsoon, conditions were far from perfect for the 12 anglers who fished match 3. on the day the best approach for all was to start on the method, then changing over to the pellet waggler and straight lead to keep the fish coming.

In what can only be described as horrendous conditions, with gale force winds making the venue look like the north sea. The usual tactics of pellet waggler and straight lead were off the cards, with the method feeder scoring the better weights for the 10 anglers who were fool hardy enough to make the journey to this bagging Mecca.

With conditions still not perfect the anglers fishing the first Ray’s Angling match of 2016 found the tactics on the day were the method feeder early on, with a switch to the pellet waggler to increase the catch rate in the later stages.
