England Youth assessment trial for talented Under-25 coarse anglers

This year, the Under-25s Drennan Team England will be travelling to Innascarra, Southern Ireland on 12th-13th August for the FIPSed World Youth Championships.

Mark Downes, Drennan Team England Manager, is holding an Under 25s International Training/Assessment session on Makin’s Fishery, Bazzard Road, Nuneaton, CV11 6QJ on Sunday, 23rd April. Phase 1 Lake 1 has been reserved for the training/assessment session.

This will be a pole and whip session where anglers will be put through their paces on 4m, 5m, 6m whip to hand and 13m pole. It will also be fished as FIPSed International rules practice

How to apply

Anyone wishing to apply for the assessment trial must complete an England Youth assessment trial form by contacting Sandra Johnson at the Angling Trust by email or telephone 0115 822 4519.

Completed forms must be returned prior to the date of trial to Mark Downes at and anyone applying must have individual membership of the Angling Trust to be considered for invite. Applicants must have been under 25 years of age on 31st December 2016 to apply.
