Whilst out on the bank over the past year, the UKMA team have noticed many anglers using the AQUA DRY GROUNDBAIT SYSTEM from DAIWA SPORTS and after speaking to many of them, they have shouted its praises. so we contacted the head office of this global brand and they agreed to send one to us to test out on the bank. Read on to find out what you get for your money and how it performed whilst in use.
This four component groundbait management system offers the user an all in solution to groundbait preparation, transportation and protection. It features a large EVA main carrier bowl that feature two heavy duty carry straps and measures in at 40cm diameter with a depth of 20cm (approximately). The carrier bowl also has a fixed lid that has a single zip closing to keep everything inside in its place and to reduce any chance of bait beg spilled when in transit, whilst also preventing groundbaits and pellets from getting soaked when it rains. When you open the zip, this reveals the plastic riddle which sits inside the carry bowl on the rigid top rim. Remove the riddle and you have another two smaller EVA mixing bowls, the larger of these has a 30cm diameter and is ideal for keeping soaked pellets and up to 2kg of mixed groundbait in. The smaller EVA bowl has a 24cm diameter and is perfect for small quantities of bait or as a water container when preparing your feed.
Tried and Tested

Being made from EVA makes this complete groundbait system very lightweight and easy to transport around. This hard wearing material is also very easy to clean, we found the best way of getting it in tip top condition for the next session is to give the dirty bowls and riddle a quick blast with the garden hose, to remove any feed stuck inside, then wipe with a dry towel and you are good to go. One important thing to pay attention to is the zip, if it gets caked in groundbait and not cleaned regularly it will affect its performance. To alleviate this issue, we used an old nail brush to give it a clean and as if by magic, problem totally sorted!
The AQUA DRY GROUNDBAIT SYSTEM from DAIWA SPORTS does exactly what it says on the tin. this very functional, well made and easy to keep clean system gives you enough versatility to deal with multiple bait preparation requirements, whilst out on the bank.
