About the Fishery
This beautiful 200yr old, stream fed, 7 acre Lake situated in the Northamptonshire Countryside just north of Oundle is an Anglers dream come true…………….
Biggin Lake has had a major face lift over the past 2 years under the management of Alan’s Angling Mart/Biggin Ltd. Alan & Roy the two partners have worked tirelessly to make this venue as picturesque as possible, with New Platforms on 70% of the pegs, careful restocking, and bank side management combine to ensure the lake is in superb form, all year round
Biggin Lake is very well stocked and holds Roach to 1lb, Rudd to 1lb, Crucians to 2lb, Bream to 6 1/2lb, Tench to 5lb, and of course some Mirror, common and Ghost Carp which Average 6lb, but don’t be surprised if you hit into a 20lb plus Carp, as the lake record is now touching 30lb plus. All main tactics work, Pole, Waggler & Feeder all have there place, with pellet, meat and corn producing the better weights all year round when targeting the big ‘uns. Try groundbait with either maggot, caster, and soft pellet over the top for big bags of silvers
TOP TIP… If you have a margin feature, try catmeat down the edge on the pole, this can produce some exceptional sport with Carp to 20lb regularly being caught in the warmer months.
